Simply Precious
Here's a page I designed for my new nephew. He is growing so fast that I want to take photos of him every chance I get. He lives close enough that I have had a lot of photo opportunities already. Congratulations Abbey & Jay!

Orchid Mania!
Even though it isn't that far away, I had never visited the Cleveland Botanical Garden until this March. On a beautiful spring Saturday, we stopped there on the way home from a model train show. Orchids were featured throughout the glass house in March for the "Orchid Mania" show. It was the perfect opportunity for me to practice using my new macro lens. The variety and colors of the orchids were amazing. Now I am tempted to add to my little orchid collection at home.
Even though it was quite cool, I did walk around a little outside and checked out the rose garden. I am definitely looking forward to a return trip this summer!
This page was made using a digital kit called "Serendipity" made by Leslie at ljfdesigns. Thank you Leslie!

Simply A-May-zing!
May was one of the craziest months I have ever experienced. It was a time of non-stop family milestones and events including a baptism, wedding, graduation (three graduates - two ceremonies), concerts, recitals, senior awards, etc. I have enough photos from the month of May to keep me busy for the entire summer! I hope to post more as the summer progresses. For starters, here is one of my favorite photos from the wedding. Congratulations Jason & Kim!

East Harbor
One of my favorite places to go is East Harbor State Park. It is just a short drive from home and it is relaxing to just sit and look at the water. I don't often visit in the winter, but this past Thursday we decided to drive over since the weather was fairly warm. We were treated to an unexpected surprise of a herd of young deer grazing near the entrance. They were a little wary of us, but allowed us to get surprisingly close.

Winter in Ohio
Winter in Ohio brings all kinds of weather. The week before Christmas we were hit with an ice storm. Everything was coated with a thick layer of ice making the landscape treacherous but beautiful. The smaller photo was of the holly in front of my home and if you look closely you will see the cord from the Christmas lights. The background photo was of the trees at the Blue Heron Reserve, a wildlife observation area.
